Professional Taping Services
It is good to try new things and it can be fun to do work on your own home. Good drywall taping is an art that is learned over many years. It can mean the difference between a professional finish that is the source of pride, or one that is the source of regret for years to come. It is for this reason that the "taping" part of the job is the part most often contracted out to a professional. It usually is more expensive to fix a bad taping job than if it had ben done properly from the beginning.
Randy J. Bigham is the ideal choice for small to medium sized jobs for those seeking top quality drywall taping and finishing. This includes persons finishing their basements, home additions, as well as kitchen and bathroom renovations.
If a job is small, such as taping and sanding a kitchen or bathroom, it is usually possible to complete the work in 2 days. Basements or additions generally take 3-5 days to complete the taping. After the taping is completed and sanded, the walls and ceilings are ready to be primed and painted.
Randy completes all work personally, which means from start to finish you get top-quality work by someone that knows what they are doing and not by someone new to the business or a general handyman. Work is clean and precise, not sloppy or requiring a lot of sanding and dust. If the drywall has been installed well, customers can choose between a smooth painted ceiling, or a stucco ceiling. If the drywall work is less than ideal, a stucco ceiling may be a more practical choice. If a basement has a lot of bulkheads around furnace ductwork, a stucco ceiling may be more economical.
*Please keep in mind that Randy only takes care of the drywall taping and stucco ceilings, so any installation of drywall, clean-up or painting etc. is the responsibility of the customer or their contractor. Tips on installing drywall can be found online.
*Please take extra care to ensure that screws are slightly counter-sunk, and not sticking out beyond the surface of the drywall. Extra care ensuring metal corner-beads are installed square on the corners will make for a nice clean and precise finish. If you are not confident doing this yourself, Randy can do this for a small fee.
*In order for the work to be finished in an efficient manner, please have the work area as uncluttered as possible and free of houshould items, tools, garbage etc. Please avoid laying things (such as loose drywall board) against the walls, as they will need to be moved in order for them to be taped. (Thank you)
